The AQUACEL® Ag Burn Hydrofiber® Dressing by ConvaTec is an advanced dressing specifically designed for the treatment of burns. This dressing combines Hydrofiber® technology with 1.2% ionic silver, providing antimicrobial properties that help reduce the risk of infection in the wound. Upon contact with wound exudate, the dressing forms a cohesive gel that intimately conforms to the wound surface, maintaining a moist environment that promotes healing and facilitates the removal of non-viable tissue (autolytic debridement). Additionally, its nylon-reinforced structure provides greater strength and facilitates handling during application and removal. It is suitable for a variety of wounds, including partial and full-thickness burns.
