The Covidien 12 mm Endo GIA™ Ultra Universal Stapler is a single-use surgical device designed for applications in abdominal, gynecologic, pediatric, and thoracic surgeries, including resection, transection, and creation of anastomoses. This reloadable and articulating instrument allows for 360-degree rotation and 22 and 45-degree articulation in both directions, facilitating access and maneuverability at the surgical site. The stapler places two triple, staggered rows of titanium staples while simultaneously a knife divides the tissue between them. Its ergonomic design, precise articulation, and one-handed grasping capability increase versatility and enhance user experience. Additionally, the unique curved tip reloads provide enhanced direct visualization, facilitate access to the surgical site, and allow for dissection and manipulation of tissues and vessels in various challenging stapling applications.
